Golden Rule Mortgage Company is a family owned business with Tennessee family roots going back to the first settlers of Nashville in 1781. With family members with statues in Centennial Park to those holding former positions of Metro police chief, to current Circuit Court Judge , we have vested interest in trying to do what is right and honorable for our neighbors.
There are too many Mr. Potters out there and very, very few George Baileys. After semi-retirement from First Union Corp in 1999, we created Golden Rule Mortgage Co to try to make a difference. We saw limited sucess over the next few years offering only Prime mortgages that were good for the consumer, but the banking industry just got worse until it just blew up in their face. Is your banker a Potter or a Bailey? Home mortgages needed to be done in a different way, we chose the Golden Rule.

We provide individuals the tools to cut out the salesperson middleman, who really does little more than collect copies and hand them to a processor.
